Karoline Clasen Holland

Karoline Clasen Holland (1991) is a performer and theatre artist based in Copenhagen. Founder of - and artistic director of Megaland Teater since 2023. Has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting from Norwegian Theatre Academy (2018) and studied physical theatre and devising at Performers House Højskole (DK) for one year in 2012-13 and at AFUK (DK) for half a year in 2014. She has since been developing original material as a performer / co-creator in productions by CuntsCollective, Bianca Casady (CocoRosie), Oak & Shaw, Hakkehuset among others, Co-founded the comedy project NARTnART International in 2019. Debuted as a theatre director in 2022 with the techno-musical Amor Kærlighed Liebe Love at Bora Bora, DK. Choreographed and directed Megaland’s first performance Please Hold premiering at Aveny-T at Det Frie Felts Festival 2025, Cph. Experimental electronic music is a significant source of inspiration and often takes part in her work. Musicality, visuality, movement and comedy are driving forces of her practice.
